3 ways to get involved with CSD Construction
Get elected
Are you as comfortable listening to members and colleagues as you are speaking up to defend your own opinion? CSD Construction needs you!
CSD Construction has 116 elected people (élus) who are committed to making a difference. They’re the first to be informed of changes that impact the construction industry and take action quickly so you can benefit as soon as possible.
As frontline actors and agents of change, they make sure that information gets to workers, take the pulse of what’s going on on worksites, and bring any issues back to the construction industry’s decision-making bodies.
Within their section, they discuss important issues that they then recommend to the provincial council. They play an essential role in making sure that information moves from worksites all the way to provincial managers.
That’s why we emphasize that at CSD Construction, it’s our member base that decides. You drive the discussions and actions of your elected union representatives!
Become a worksite delegate
Do you love to help other people? You’d make a great worksite delegate!
Bill R-20 calls for electing a delegate when 7 or more people in the same union work for an employer on a construction site.
The delegate has a crucial role in a team of workers. They’re the on-the-ground, go-to person that keeps you up to date and connects you to CSD Construction advisors.
