Working safely on asphalting sites
Roadwork sites are the most dangerous in the construction industry. We’ve been working with the Quebec ministry of transportation (le ministère des Transports du Québec) since 2019 to make workers on road sites safer.
Installing concrete barriers and other safety devices on active roadwork sites
Working on an asphalting job means working on Quebec roads full of drivers who aren’t always obeying speed limits. It’s truly dangerous!
To keep our workers safe, all active work sites need to be protected by mobile barriers or by shock absorbing trucks when barriers aren’t enough.
Speed limits near worksites
Speeding near roadwork is deadly. Every year, hundreds of construction works fall victim to accidents. Protecting you is our priority!
On top of taking a closer look at speed limits, all active worksites need to use devices to make drivers slow down, whether that’s photo radar or escort vehicles. There also needs to be dynamic signage that tells drivers whether the site is active or inactive so that they can adjust their speed accordingly.
