NEGOTIATIONS: A vote in favour of a pressure tactic mandate
The new collective agreement negotiations are now underway. Our priorities include wage and bonus increases, work-life balance initiatives, improved scheduling and greater job security for you.
WE ARE NEGOTIATING IN GOOD FAITH, BUT ARE PREPARED FOR ANYTHING!
CSD Construction’s members have the power to vote on whether they wish to adopt a pressure tactic mandate that could ramp up to a strike. We have to be prepared for anything, even if negotiations are going well! The general assemblies give you a chance to vote on adopting a pressure tactic mandate to be used by the bargaining committee at the appropriate time.
It’s time to make our voices heard and improve the industry’s working conditions for the next four years.
Elections will also be held to elect new members to CSD Construction’s union council (Conseil syndical). Our elected representatives are on the front line, working to bring about change, sharing information with workers and keeping their finger on the pulse of what’s happening on worksites across Quebec. Interested in taking on this role? Attend the meeting and put your name forward!
Assemblies will cover the following topics:
- Understanding the next steps in the collective bargaining process
- Electing new representatives
- Adopting a pressure tactic mandate to be used at the right time
- Other points of interest
Assemblies will start at 7 p.m.
You can attend the meeting that is closest to your home or worksite. If you want to vote, however, you must attend the assembly held by the subsection where you reside.
Our advisors and regional elected representatives will be on hand to welcome and inform you.
