CSD is calling for a consultation to improve things once and for all for civil engineering workers.
We’re calling for better work organization so work can resume faster in the spring. We would like work to start as soon as the weather is nice, without needing to wait for the thaw period to end. We know that, every year, several organizational problems keep work from resuming in time.
We also know, that in the fall, a lot of work needs to be completed before winter arrives, and that workers will be kept busy on work sites. This intense period of work can lead to an increase in work-related accidents and makes work-life balance much harder to achieve.
