By passing the qualification examination, an apprentice can demonstrate that they have acquired the skills required to access the status of journeyperson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apprentices wanting to take the exam for their trade or specialty can do so as soon as they have completed 85% of their required training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apprentices who have completed 100% of their apprenticeship will receive a letter from the CCQ indicating that they must register for the exam within a month of their apprenticeship ending or else their work permit will be suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The apprentice must call the CCQ at 1-888-842-8282 to get their exam date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A registration fee of $100 applies. It is non-refundable and valid for a 12-month period from the date of payment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
