The time has come to negotiate!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Alliance syndicale de la construction\u2014which brings together the industry\u2019s five unions\u2014submitted its sectoral demands today. Employers\u2019 associations also followed suit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We are working for you<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In our list of demands, the Alliance Syndicale included priorities that construction workers have been asking for: wage increases that compensate for the rising cost of living and increases purchasing power, improved meal and travel allowances, additional non-working public holidays, improved job security through recall rights, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How demands have evolved since the last negotiations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On September 1, 2022, the Alliance syndicale asked employer associations to reopen collective agreements for a one-off wage increase to counter in\ufb02ation. They refused the request, considering it was \u201ca matter of negotiation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Time to catch up!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Employer associations will certainly have to adjust the proposals for the 2025 negotiations. They have the obligation to retain the workforce active on construction sites, and make the construction industry more attractive for the next generation of workers. Salaries will, therefore, have to play a key role in the solution, and we are expecting a very significant catch-up in salaries. And this time, bosses won\u2019t be able to ignore our demands.
