{"id":191737,"date":"2026-02-27T15:21:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-27T20:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csdconstruction.qc.ca\/2024\/03\/10\/conseils-pour-bien-preparer-vos-impots\/"},"modified":"2025-02-27T15:49:25","modified_gmt":"2025-02-27T20:49:25","slug":"conseils-pour-bien-preparer-vos-impots","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csdconstruction.qc.ca\/en\/2026\/02\/27\/conseils-pour-bien-preparer-vos-impots\/","title":{"rendered":"Tax Preparation Tips"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tax season is upon us, so we figured we\u2019d give you a few tips to get your documents ready for your accountant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>M\u00c9DIC premiums and tax credits<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The CCQ sends&nbsp;<strong>RL-22 and T4A slips<\/strong>&nbsp;to people who have worked at least 1 hour during the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amounts shown, even if 0, must be included on your income tax return to ensure you receive all the benefits to which you are entitled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure&nbsp;<strong>you have received your CCQ statements before sending in your taxes<\/strong>! You will receive these documents by mail if you have not already done so. They are also available via CCQ\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/sel.ccq.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online services<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Union dues<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your union dues entitle you to a 10% tax credit at the provincial level and are 100% tax deductible at the federal level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These amounts appear on the T4s and RL-1s that your employer(s) send you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Your prescription drug deductible \u2026 is also deductible<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The portion you pay for prescription drugs and health care services that is&nbsp;<strong>not&nbsp;<\/strong>covered by your M\u00c9DIC (deductible) is also tax deductible.
