Thanks to the Programme d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des femmes (PAEF), over 40 measures have been implemented to help integrate women and promote mixed-gender construction sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quick and easy access to construction sites<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Competency certificates valid for 2 years with no job guarantee requirement for women who hold diplomas. This measure can be used one time in your career. You need to work at least 150 hours with one or more employers during this period to be able to renew your competency card.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Women without diplomas who have a guarantee from an employer for 150 hours of work over 3 months can access job sites as soon as the labour pools are lower than 30%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhanced mobility across the province. Women in the construction industry can work anywhere in Quebec once they&#8217;ve logged at least 500 hours with their employer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Priority applications for women when a position opens on the site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Priority access for training and upskilling activities.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>10% of spots in trainings are reserved for women.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automatic registration for the course Cours de connaissance g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de l\u2019industrie de la construction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The &#8220;Femmes en entreprise&#8221; training program<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This training is for women who are new to the instrusty and her teammates. It helps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improve the integration of women in their workplace<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enrich her knowledge and apprenticeship with a journeyperson\/mentor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Equip teammates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prevent workplace discrimination<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-transform:uppercase\">Construction trades are for women too<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>CSD Construction is an inclusive union that promotes mixed-gender construction sites.
