Occupation

Occupations perform extremely varied jobs. It is therefore difficult to describe a typical day.

They can in particular:

  • Load and unload construction materials and place them in work areas;
  • Assemble and dismantle various structures on construction sites (scaffolding, catwalks, etc.);
  • Accompany qualified personnel in the execution of the work;
  • Direct traffic on the construction site.

The specialized labourer, for his part, can:

  • Be assigned to the loading, unloading and handling of bulk cement as well as all work related to the pouring of concrete;
  • Demolish buildings and sort, clean and pile recovered materials;
  • Operate pneumatic, mechanical or electric hammer drills;
  • Scrape bituminous materials for the construction and repair of pavements, smoothers and small rollers weighing less than one ton;
  • Operate any heating unit for which a certificate is not required, except electrical and mechanical Betweentien;
  • Operate a scale for weighing truck loads;
  • Install rigid or semi-rigid insulation;
  • Proceed with the caulking;
  • Operate a device used to cut asphalt or concrete;
  • Install galvanized or concrete pipes;
  • Lay water and sewer pipes and their branches;
  • Carry out, with the required equipment, any cement or concrete injection process inside an existing formwork, rock or concrete;
  • Operate any type of manual compactor that does not require a journeyman competency certificate;
  • Apply urethane;
  • Operate a mechanical saw;
  • Operate a pump whose nominal diameter is less than six inches.
